I have several goals for this course.
1. Keep an opened mind to new innovative ways of communication.
2. Establish networking capabilities with others who have the same interest as I do.
3. Build confidence and become more comfortable with the computer.
4. Incorporate what I have learned into my professional and personal life.
Like most, this course is a requirement for graduation. On an honest note, I find technology to be slightly intimidating. I am excited and hoping by the end of the course I will be comfortable and confident about innovating technology into my daily business operation.
I found creating my blog to be easy after reviewing the tutorial. I have some basic computer skills, like surfing the web, Facebook, email, and Micro Soft Office. My first impression of this course was the unknown. I felt slightly better after reviewing the book.
How do you intend to measure whether you have met these goals? These goals will help you succeed, but they don't necessarily relate to specific elements of the course?
ReplyDeleteThe advantages of more specific goals is that it makes it easier to create an action plan on what you will do to meet those goals and to determine whether you have met those goals at the end of the course. Please rethink about what you already know and can build on to succeed in this class--both about technology and pedagogy--and post an update to your goals. You can post a new post or simply click to edit the current post.
My goal during this term is to keep an opened mind to new innovative ways of communication. Working full-time Monday thru Friday and raising my granddaughter is taking up a lot of time. Accumulating enough hours for graduation has been a slow process because some of the classes that I want to take in the classroom are not available during hours that I am available. I am hoping this class builds up my confidence to consider taking more online classes in the future. This goal will help with my plan of graduating in 2010.
ReplyDeleteHaving read my classmate introduction I have found that several of my peers have my same interest. I would also like to establish networking capabilities outside of this classroom.
Finally, I would like to incorporate what I have learned into my professional and personal life. I feel that I will be able to market my business globally now that I am familiar with blogging. Eventually, I will create a webpage for my business.
Hi Jackie, I'm a Digital Immigrant just like you! I'm also a grandma and work full time, but I'm not raising my grandchildren. I have a special needs son that is 13 years old. Angel's Academy sounds like a wonderful place for a child to learn and grow. God bless you, Toni
